Holiday decorations can easily look inexpensive and dated. The usual go-to’s of bows, ceramic figurines and holly printed patterns have been around for a long ages and it’s time for an update. If you are ready to swap out your seasonal decor for something hip + modern + fresh here are a few of my fresh ideas for holiday decor.

fresh ideas for holiday decor!

1.Everyone is rocking a gallery wall these days right? An easy holiday update would be to swap out a couple of the prints for these festive inspired ones. They are an Etsy instant download so you can get this done today without ever leaving your house!

2.Faux taxidermy trend meets the age old holiday decor–wreaths with this metallic antler wreath. Comes in both silver  + gold!  I love this. It would look great hanging on your front door or grouped together hanging over the fire place.

3, 4 + 5 Create a cozy holiday seating area next to the fireplace or in a comfy corner. Throw down this amazing sheepskin rug, curl up in this Rudolf-red chair and kick your feet up on this amazing plaid ottoman. Bring on the baileys + hot chocolate please!

6. Holiday decor doesn’t have to be a literal interpretation of items or images we associate with Christmas. Bring out some unique interesting objects for the holiday that are still in line with your year-round style. I love these mercury and glass sand timers to decorate a mantle or tablescape. How long til Santa comes?!

7. Metallic s are the perfect way to show your holiday cheer. I love these gold and white wooden planters. They would be the perfect home for a poinsettia or Christmas cactus.
