A COUPLE QUICK TIPS FOR GALLERY WALLS

1. Use a variety of image orientations (portrait + landscape) to create a balanced composition.

2. Don’t worry about lining up all the edges of the frames. The top line of the all the frames can be staggered, the same goes for the bottom, right and left edges too!

3. Use a a variety of mediums.  Mixing paintings, photography and even typography will create an interesting and collected feel.

4. Choose one element to unite all the images. In the gallery wall example above there is a unity through color and line. You can see many of the images have a strong horizontal line running through them. Also a few of the same colors are repeated through out ( the light blue/teal and bold pink) to unite the images that may have a very different subject.
