OUR HOME TOUR

Ever wanted to take a peek inside my home to see how I live and decorate my personal space? To be honest, when you are an interior designer the bar is set so high for your own home. People have high expectations and expect everything to be perfect and complete. But the truth is that most of us live just like you do! It is a constant balance of finding the right pieces that actually fit our lifestyle (kids, dogs, budget etc.) and things that we feel represent our personality and tastes. Designing a space you love is a process, I tell this to my clients, and I have to remind myself of it daily. There is always a project or another item on your “must-have” list.  Our home tour 2017 is a snapshot of my house in it’s current state, unfinished projects and un-perfected spaces, but a home we love and that reflects us– which to me is the most important achievement when it comes to home design.

Sure there are a million projects I want to take on and yes, I am in a constant state of changing out my accessories and throw pillows. But underneath all of that the

Things I love about our home are:

  • The gallery wall of collected artwork in our living room. Each piece we have got from one of our travels or his an heirloom passed down from our family.
  • The custom built-in and new fireplace my husband completed this summer.
  • The black and white art my nieces painted in our dining room.
  • The black wall in our Master bedroom
  • Our completely renovated bathroom

Designing a space you love is a process, I tell this to my clients, and I have to remind myself of it daily.

In my opinion a home should be lived in, should represent the way you and your family function and should definitely represent your personality and specific design choices.

Is our home perfect? No. Should it be perfect? No. In my opinion a home should be lived in, should represent the way you and your family function and should definitely represent your personality and specific design choices. You should look around and it should make you feel happy, relaxed, organized etc. It should make you feel whatever you need to feel and nothing you don’t. This is part of what working with us is all about. We help to guide you to make the RIGHT decisions for your family. Ones that fit your style + your budget. We help you eliminate the overwhelm that comes with decorating your home. Feel like we would be a good fit in working together? Let’s chat!

And Stay Tuned—Over the next few weeks I will share posts on each individual room with details on items I have incorporated into each space, shoppable links + paint color schemes to follow!

Sincerely,
Allison
