Rember when I mourned the loss of a black wall in my living room because the husband gave his ultimate veto.  Well somehow I have convinced him that a dark charcoal wall in our bedroom would be the perfect back drop and he finally agreed (gave up).  Let the planning begin!

So far this is the direction I am going. The headboard is existing, the first DIY project my husband and I ever took on. We created it from a mustard colored faux leather and detailed it with brass nailheads. I love it and I am not ready to part with it yet, but was having a hard time finding the perfect color scheme to go with it. Previously we had always paired it with elephant gray colored walls but I was getting tired of that scheme and ready for change.

A few of the things have already been purchased including this rug from Rugs USA,

This amazing Crosby schoolhouse lamp from Target which was a total steal for just $23.99 on sale! It is over-scale which I love and is really heavy and substantial, making it seem much more expensive than it actually was.

African Kudo horns similar to these. I actually had faux ones created from Near and Deer because I just couldn’t get on board with having a real scull hanging over my head every night.

The bedding + pillows are still all up for debate as I am assuming hubby will put is foot down regarding MORE leopard print in our house. But I just feel like it is necessary. In my book more is more when it comes to leopard print.

Right now I am leaning towards Sherwin Williams 7069 Iron Ore for wall paint. But I will need to do a few samples and see what looks best in the light.

Overall I am in love this this concept/direction and look forward to shopping my face off to pull it all together. What do you think? Would you be down for a black bedroom? If so, then you are probably my dream client. Let’s chat about working together!

Sincerely,
Allison
