Ok, so maybe the terrible wood paneling that lines your parents 1970’s basement is out. But don’t  rule out all wood!

There are some beautiful uses for reclaimed wood that add texture, warmth and an eco-friendly element to any space. Used in the right applications these wood panels provide a beautiful custom aesthetic.

For a recent project I suggested the use of some wood paneling from Elmwood Reclaimed Timber–an amazing resource with a huge variety of samples, sizes and colors.

I thought the warm gray of their milled Barnwood paneling was a great addition the color story that was developed for this open concept living space.  And I have to take a little timeout here to say how absolutely fantastic the packaging, samples and marketing materials were that were sent out by Elmwood—seriously check them out!

So are your preconceived notions about wood paneling starting to slowly fade away? I thought so! Check out some of these inspired applications and I promise you —your opinion will be forever changed!
