A Primary Suite Built for Ritual, and Real Life :: We love when a primary suite does it all…holds a little glamour while still working like a real bathroom, morning after morning. This one was designed to do both.
THE BEFORE: Two Rooms, One Story
If you’re thinking, this isn’t a ‘before’ picture of a bathroom? You’re right.
This project called for a full primary suite concept split across two connected spaces: a vanity and soaking tub room, and a separate two-tone shower and toilet room just beyond it…and in this case the BEFORE wasn’t even a bathroom; it was a bedroom. The selections were made to tie two spaces together and make the bathroom footprint seem natural despite shifting the floorplan.
THE PLAN: Vintage with Brass Details
The concept centered on a vintage-inspired primary suite grounded in botanical pattern, brass detailing, and rich wood tones. Key selections included:
- Botanical wallpaper layered across the vanity and shower room walls for a garden-like feel
- Walnut wood vanity paired with brass plumbing fixtures, cabinet hardware, and door hardware for warmth throughout
- Matte black vanity mirrors with an antique-glass finish, flanked by brass wall sconces and topped with a glass pendant over the soaking tub
- Clawfoot soaking tub with brass feet
- Black-and-white marble mosaic floor tile, carried from the vanity room straight through into the shower and toilet room for continuity between the two spaces
- French closet door with mirror inlay, adding another layer of vintage detail
- A two-tone shower and toilet room, finished in a warm blush ceiling and walls with white subway tile
Every choice was made to let the two rooms feel like part of the same story while giving the shower room its own drama.

The concept of a vintage-glamour primary suite grounded in botanicals graphic lines and warmth came together. Soft florals, aged brass, and a blush-toned shower room create a suite that feels collected, a little romantic, and built for everyday ritual.
