WHY WE STILL LOVE SUBWAY TILE

Yes, we still love it. Call it overdone. We’re still picking it. Trends come and go, and every few years someone declares subway tile finished. Then we walk into a kitchen or bathroom where it’s done well and remember why it lasted this long. It’s been on walls for over a hundred years for a reason.

Here’s why it keeps earning a spot in our projects:

It’s a classic. Subway tile was made to be clean, bright, and practical, and it still is. It doesn’t date a room the way a trend tile can. It just looks right.

It’s budget-friendly. Choosing subway tile frees up money for the pieces you want to splurge on, like the countertop, the lighting, or that faucet you’ve been eyeing.

It comes in more than white. The classic 3×6 is only the start. Longer, skinnier formats, handmade-look glazes, deep greens, warm creams, and moody charcoals let it lean modern, farmhouse, traditional, or bold.

It installs a dozen ways. Running bond, stacked vertical, herringbone, or straight stack. Pair it with a contrasting grout and you have a different look altogether. Same tile, entirely new personality.

Subway tile isn’t the safe choice, it’s the smart one, and how you use it makes it yours. Not sure which version is right for your space? Reach out to us here.
