Apowder room tends to get overlooked. When a homeowner considers designing their space the largest and most often used rooms come to mind first.

But don’t be fooled–packing a little punch to your powder room is a great way to add LOTS of personality to your home.

Here are some of my top tips for Powder Rooms:

1.  Stay Neutral-— The main bathroom finishes and fixtures tend to be expensive so go with warm neutral palette for the permanent fixtures. This will ensure that you will have a timeless and classic base from which to work from without having to make expensive changes in the future.

2 . Go for Pattern— Don’t be afraid to put large scale patterns or bold colors in a small space. By using them in a small space, rather than on a large wall or open space, you can make an impact without overwhelming the eye.

3. Accessorize!— Make it personal by adding items that might otherwise be found in a living or entertaining space to your powder room. Simple floating shelves are a great way to display personal items such as art, books, and vintage storage baskets.

Sincerely,
Allison
