THE BEST PLANTS FOR LOW LIGHT ROOMS

Low light living room (Dark Royal Blue, Black, Cream, Dark Brown)

Spider Plant

Spider plants are an extremely durable flowering plant! Spider plants can adapt to their surroundings quite well. These plants are great for filtering indoor pollutants! Harm will occur when the plant is left in temperatures less than 55 degrees Fahrenheit. No direct sunlight for spider plants, they flourish in bright, indirect sunlight, but do well in low light situations. Spider plants love water, but must be well drained or you will have root rot. This plant prefers to become dry between watering.

Peace Lily

Peace lilies are great plants for beginners! This plant is great for air purification! A peace lily plant enjoys semi-shade to bright light environments, but never direct sun. Peace lilies adapt to lower light situations. These plants also have a very unique flower. You should water the pace lily when the plant begins to sag slightly and make sure to keep the soil well drained. One should reduce watering in winter months.

Fiddle Leaf Fig

Fiddle leaf figs have the potential to grow quite large over time. The giant waxy leaves are the star attraction. Fiddle leaf figs do not prefer temperatures under 55 degrees Fahrenheit. Keep this plant away from drafty areas! Water this plant with care. Let the soil dry completely between watering. The best way is to feel the soil with your hand. In the summer months mist leaves and in the winter months slow your watering. This plant thrives in partial shade to semi-bright light, but no direct sun. Monthly this plant should be rotated to help even growth. Fiddle leaf figs are great for air purification!

Pteris Fern

Every species of fern looks different, but most have similar care information. The one pictured is a Pteris fern. Ferns enjoy temperatures between 55- 60 degrees Fahrenheit. Ferns enjoy dappled bright light. The soil of the ferns must be moist at all times, but very well drained. Ferns also benefit from regular misting!
