Aubergine, the cousin of eggplant but much fancier is having a moment and we are obsessed with the look of this dramatic, saturated color as it trends
The Curio team predicts that color trends will warm up in general in 2020 (remember our rundown of the best blushes? Yea, more of that.) and we are INTO it. The trend of gray-blue walls has been sweeping the nation for…well…a while now. And we’re loving the contrast that aubergine brings to that cool palette.
Not ready to commit to aubergine-not-quite-eggplant all up on your walls? No problem.
We have lots of clients who are afraid of committing to more bold and saturated colors (and, by the way, we have a plan for that), but this trend is hitting upholstery, pillows, rugs and all the accessories. Throw in some bordeaux pillows for a little fall feeling, and next thing you know you’re at Sherwin Williams getting five gallons of Burgundy.
