In projects where we are looking to add texture and variation, we often turn to tile. While our clients often expect tile in bathrooms and kitchens, we also love to incorporate it into other spaces. Tile can be bold and timeless, modern and versatile. We love tile!
Cement and faux cement are hot at the moment, and we’re sharing some of our favorites for you here:
PATTERN PLAY: FAVORITE CEMENT AND FAUX CEMENT PRINTED TILES
The Atlas Light White and Gray at The Builder Depot is a handmade tile in the style of the 19th century Catalonia . The low-contrast color scheme is a great way to introduce a pattern that won’t overwhelm.
This hexagonal tile by Villa Lagoon Tile at Wayfair is handmade which means no two tiles are exactly alike. This variation gives a natural look suitable for indoor or outdoor use. We love the oversize scale of an otherwise classic shape.
Estrella Cement tile from Cemento Collection on Etsy will add a bold geometric pattern and saturated color to your space. We are loving blue right now (check out our fave blue paints right here)!
The Santorini Cement Tiles at Houzz bring us the modern, bold feel of black and white with the charm of Morrocan inspired patterns. When installed, the overall pattern injects the perfect Boho flair to any space.
The random, organic pattern of the Bambari Nightfall at Houzz makes a visual statement through subtle low-contrast colors.
We are loving the pattern on Riad Tile’s Bowen Tile for a bold choice that won’t overwhelm. Geometic patterns like this can be used to create a plaid effect, like the bar we designed at Barrel + Beam Brewery.
We chose Bruges Daylight at the Cement Tile Shop because we’re loving all things blue this season, check out all our favorites right here.
We love the gorgeous color and modern lines of the Radar Hexagon from cle tile...so many options for patterns!
Feeling tile but need to browse more? Check out some of our other favorite tiles (for under $10!) Need help choosing? We work locally with clients in Marquette, MI and consult virtually with clients nation-wide!
Happy Designing!
