Recently I was lucky enough to hop down to Paris for a long weekend.  As we were parading from the Eifel tower to some other tourist destination I walked by this…and it immediately captured my attention.  I snapped some pics quickly as my friends and Fiancé kept powering forward without giving this amazing building a second glance.  This vertical garden, designed by artist Patrick Blanc, is stunningly beautiful and massive!!! From end to end it measures over 200 meters long and 12 meters high.

Musee de quai Branley, Paris France

Green roofs, like the one I saw on the façade of the Musee de quai Brandly, have been an ever growing trend in the Architecture & Design communities as they provide many benefits to the overall performance and function of the building. Vertical walls can deliver the same benefits, including energy cost savings, improved acoustics and enhanced indoor environmental air quality. Not to mention they are amazingly gorgeous!!!

Who wouldn’t want to live or work in a space like this!? YES PLEASE!

All images from Green Over Grey. Check them out. They are amazing!

Sincerely,
Allison
