We get asked about paint…a lot. The colors you choose for your space have a huge impact on the overall look and feel of the design, and our clients tend to agonize over the perfect shade. Choosing paint *seems* like it should be an easy decision, but the sheer number of choices there are can lead to overwhelm. You’re in luck, though, because we’ve got all your paint colors answered.

Who can tell the difference between all those shades of white anyway? We can.

Isn’t a beige just a beige? No, it’s not.

I love greens, but I can’t use them for paint can I? You can and you should.

Is there a way for the colors throughout my house to feel cohesive? There is.

The color you choose isn’t just about the amount of light in your room or the way you use the space (though those are important), it’s also about the style you’re trying to convey. We’ve got the perfect breakdown of our fave colors based on your style.

BOLD

For our clients looking to make a statement, we recommend dramatic colors in saturated punches, like a bank of lower cabinets or in a powder room. These rich tones can add a sense of depth and coziness. The key to saturated colors is placement. Since WHICH saturated colors we are drawn tend to change with trends it’s best to go with them in places that are contained and easier to change.

UNDERSTATED

If you want a more classic look, we’ve chosen these understated tones for full wall coverage. These will work with a variety of furniture and decor and are a great choice for traditionalists who have a consistent style. But these colors are also a great choice for people who like to CONSTANTLY change up their furniture and decor. Having a classic netural backdrop means you can have more flexibility with color in your furniture!

ELEGANT

If you’re giving a fresh coat of paint to your period style home or trying to evoke the feeling of an older space, this palette is classic and bold but slightly less saturated than some more dramatic colors.
