Summer is here. Is your patio ready?! A recent client used our Classic e-Design package to revamp their backyard patio and get it ready for entertaining. The space had tons of potential but was in need of some thoughtful design elements to create functional zones. Check out how this e-Design package gave them some foolproof and colorful patio decorating ideas.
The client wanted a space for BBQ’ing, eating and lounging. I started out by playing around with some different layouts to best maximize space and create flow from area to area. I chose to create a built in bar in the back right corner of the patio allowing it to be easily accessible from the lounge area and the sun bathing area.
To add some architectural interest to the space I chose to create a focal wall using stained and treated 2×4 lumber on the back side of the house. On top of that we added an exterior grade fire place as well as some sconce lighting to add dimension to the wall. Almost all of the furnishings came from Wayfair which helped keep the budget in check and make ordering everything a breeze for the client.
The e-Design package included fully detailed construction drawings so that the client could DIY or hire out the work and be sure that all the design elements were going to turn out just the way they expected them to be.
