Small bathrooms can pack the most punch. The opportunity for transformation is huge. This small East Magnetic bathroom was no different.
THE BEFORE.
These type of bathrooms are typical in an old home. They aren’t overly huge and are seriously lacking in modern-day storage. Often expanding the footprint is not an option as the bathroom is sandwiched in by existing bedrooms and closets that homeowner does not want to sacrifice.
THE PLAN.
The goal for this space was to give it a modern upgrade. Not only freshening up the outdated finishes, but carving out storage everywhere we could. The door swing into the bathroom meant a custom stepped vanity was required. This allowed us to get extra concealed storage but also a lot of usable counterspace– something the client had ZERO of before.
The color scheme was classic and refined. It was designed to work well with the kitchen & breakfast nook space we completed at the same time.
