Three dreamy bathrooms in one house!? Yes– it’s true. This is the 3rd and final bathroom in this amazing house. The details are the perfect compliment to the black cabinets of the kitchen while the warm wood vanities create connect to the guest bath and master bath. In creating a whole house scheme we want each bathroom to be able to stand on its own while still being cohesive with the overall vibe of the house. This guest bath is nailing that.

MID CENTURY MAIN HOUSE GUEST BATH

The Before.

It’s hard to show a before of this space because it didn’t really exist in the way it does now. We completely reorganized this back area of the basement, demo’d out a ton of walls, and expanded the bathroom into new space. There was a very small existing bathroom, so we used that as a starting point– keeping the toilet in the same location to help control the budget on the project.

The Before

The Design Plan.

This was the only bathroom in the house that had ZERO revisions from the design presentation to the installation. Well– I should clarify–we did end up selecting a new light as the original spec was out of stock by the time we went to order and install it. But otherwise this bathroom went from conception to reality with very minimal change.

The bathroom connects to the rest of the house through color palette and the clean line selections. The tile finishes are super simple– classic subway tile with dark grout combined with a matte black hex in a 3″ size. Similar to the two other baths, we did a custom Alder vanity with brass kohler sink faucets. All these simple finishes are the perfect backdrop for a custom glass shower door with black grids.
