FINALLY another project reveal! Although I love major construction projects– every once and a while a project comes along that is just in need of paint and furniture to make your jaw drop. The Park + Pine living room is exactly that project.

Park + Pine BEFORE

I have said it over and over again but paint can make such an impact, especially the RIGHT paint color. For this project we started with color palette. Choosing a light gray with a slight blue undertone to balance out a lot of the warm wood tones in the house.

We built up the color scheme from there, adding in lots of crisp whites and creams and punches of black. I always love to add one unexpected (and totally random) color into the room. The yellow pillows pack in a ton of punch.

Furniture layout was another huge challenge in this space. It was an awkward layout with no intuitive place to put a TV.

We explored a few options with the client and landed on creating a custom piece of furniture that would allow the TV to fit under the window. This keeps the rest of the layout open to the rest of the main floor, for maximum entertaining.

The best part of this transformation is that it was completely executed by THE CLIENT! They followed the design plans to every last detail and the transformation speaks for itself:
