This project reveal was a long time coming. With covid delays and busy schedules it took a long time to wrap this one up! We finally got in to put our final styling touches in these two spaces and we are so excited to share them you with.

THE BEFORE.

A total blank slate with AMAZING bones. We had so much to work with here— tall ceilings, Victorian Era details, and a fireplace in every room! The first space was to be used as a TV room and the second space was to be used as a more formal living room. A few major cracks in the plaster ceiling of the TV room was the biggest issue we had to deal with– project timeline and overall budget didn’t allow us to rip it all down and replace it so we had to get creative!

THE PLAN.

The TV room will go dark and moody. A dark wall color mixed with leather and natural materials creates an eclectic and masculine feel. The solution for the plaster ceiling was covering it in a thick grasscloth to help disguise cracks and bumps and then trimming the space out in a grid pattern painted to match the walls.

The Formal Living Room would be a bit brighter space. We lighted up the walls and replaced the carpet with a more neutral tone. From there we would create a seating grouping floating in the middle of the room, that focuses on conversation and views the stained glass and fireplace.

Both spaces would get custom drapery with dramatic black trim to help accentuate the amazing ceiling heights.
