The new year is a fresh start for so many things—fitness, relationships and career. Why not take the opportunity to make update your home as well. Here are

5 ways to refresh your home for the new year!

1. Paint. Paint is the easiest way to make a huge difference in any space. If you are ready to roll your sleeves up and do a little work the impact will be huge. Make sure you go for maximum impact–pick a new color that is a far departure from your current one. If you have dark walls go lighter with a crisp white pallete. If you are normally fearful of color try going dark with a navy or charcoal room.

2. Liven it Up. Add some live elements into your space to inject color and texture–without breaking the bank.  Display them in fun new jars or woven baskets to add even more impact!

3. Update Your Art. Switching out just a few pieces that hang on your walls can inject new life and color into a space. If you have already invested $$ in your frames try finding a few “instant print” art options from Etsy and slide them in front of your current pictures. You don’t have to make a big investment to get a big visual change!

4. Mix in a New Pattern. Switch out a few throw pillows on your sofa or shams on your bed with a fresh new pattern. I love the options at Furbish Studio!  They even sell them in suggested sets, so it takes the guess work out of mixing and matching various colors and patterns!

5. Rearrange What You Have. If one of your resolutions is to save money don’t feel like you can’t also refresh your home too. Rearrange what you already have to give each room a fresh new perspective. For maximum impact relocate and mix items from one room to another.

With these quick changes you can easily refresh your home for the New Year. Still feel like you need a little extra + personalized guidance! Drop me an email and we can chat about working together to update your home or small business!

Sincerely,
Allison
