Something is missing.

You’ve worked hard to update your home, you love the colors, the furniture, the overall look…but something you can’t *quite* put a finger on is keeping you from having that designer look, that Instagram vibe.

What is it?

We’ve got our top three tips for giving your space that done-by-a-designer-feel.

ONE: Beef up  your millwork.

Size DOES matter. Trim might seem boring, but the overall LOOK and feel of a room depends on it. Opt for a 4″ or larger baseboard and paint in a high-quality semi-gloss paint. A larger baseboard will feel anything but builder basic.

TWO: Don’t be afraid to go bold.

Don’t be afraid of dark or saturated colors and/or patterns. Make a statement. Ready to take a risk but CAREFULLY? Use it in a confined space like a den or powder room. We are constantly updating our list of favorite paint colors on pinterest.–check it out!

THREE: Mix it up.

Try decor and artwork that are contrasting in style. Mix in a detailed antique piece with a modern interior. Contrast is key to a layered designer look! Love that eclectic look but not quite sure how to mix things successfully–we got you covered.
