RATTAN ALL YEAR LONG!

Rattan all year long?! We say YES!  It’s not just for your porch anymore! As summer transitions into fall, we love the idea of extending the life of materials typically designated for nights out on the patio by bringing them inside.

As designers we have our eye on trends and this one is definitely up-and-coming!

Here is a few of our favorite pieces that can work all year long!

1. This side chair, comes in a pair, and we love for its modern lines.  It is like  a mid century side chair, deconstructed and re-made it out of rattan.

2. We LOVE this rattan hanging chair, we used it in this sophisticated play room and it really added a bit of fun to the space.

3.  Black rattan, be still my heart!  It’s striking, creates a visual pattern and feels super modern.  Of our friends at West Elm have nailed this with their coffee table!

I feel like I would layer this with a natural color rattan tray to really add some texture!

Love this one from Ballard Design.

4.  When thinking of rattan furniture, we immediately think of Pier 1.  They have been in the rattan game for a long time with their bucket chairs!  However this casual chair makes us want to cuddle up and read a book.  The low seat and natural honey color of the rattan has us thinking about all the applications it would fit in!

5.  Looking for something more dramatic?  Rattan is a great material to mix with other materials, like plastic for instance!  These dramatic kitchen stools from Serena and Lily have given chevron a new life!  It feels new and unexpected.  Paired with the natural rattan construction these stools can look great in any color kitchen.

Rattan is a great material to mix with other materials.

We could go on and on with all the new items in the market made of this material, but look for yourself!  Search indoor rattan furniture and see what catches your eye!
