During a recent house-refresh project, we started with (what else!?) paint…putting together a cohesive palette for the whole house gave things a crisp new look. (pssst…our refresh colors are another batch that work well with existing oak cabinetry just like these right here)
After paint, lighting is our favorite way to brighten (see what I did there?!) a space and to update the overall look of your house with cohesion AND without breaking the bank.

WHOLE HOUSE REFRESH: LIGHTING
We chose the Lamps Plus Holman Bronze Bath Light for a vintage feel in the Master Bath
The Capiz Petal Flush Mount from World Market was a luxe addition to a practical laundry room.
Trent Austin Design Poteau Semi-Flush 2-Light at Wayfair was chosen for both the entryway and the guest bedroom, we love this classic but interesting look and take this as a chance to remind you that boob lights are NEVER necessary! Never. Ever.
The dining room is a great place to make a statement, and we chose the Shades of Light Urban Loft Circular Chandelier in this mottled rush finish.
The Dunmore Teardrop Pendant from Wayfair went over the kitchen island, a traditional exposed bulb with a gorgeous glass shade for added interest.
We chose the Tremeir Geometric Chandelier at Wayfair for Master Bedroom and repeated it in the office (an easy way to make the design of your house more continuous while also avoiding the stress of making additional choices), a traditional chandelier with modern shapes.
