We love mixing metals…we have SAID IT BEFORE and we will say it…forever probably.
For finishes like black and chrome, we find that mixing and matching between vendors is no issue [think sink fixture and shower fixtures]. But with brass each vendor can be super different and sometimes switching between them can lead to mismatches mess. When it comes to making sure brass finishes match–we did the heavy lifting for you. Testing a handful of our most popular plumbing finishes to see which pair best together.
Our best tips for Brass Finishes by Vendor are here!
1.Delta Champagne Bronze is a super unique brass finish that doesn’t mix well with other brass tones. If you love this one, we would stick to all Delta fixtures and then go in a complete different direction for hardware or lighting. Try chrome or black!
2. Moen Brushed Gold pairs well with Kingston Brushed Brass and Rejuvenation Aged Brass.
3. A favorite finish of ours is Kohler Modern Brushed Gold. With this choice, we would keep fixutres in the same finish. BUT if you need to mix or match for budget or style, Kingston Brushed Brass is a good option.
4. Signature Hardware Aged Brass is much less gold and leans a bit more neutral/brown. This pairs well with Kingston Hardware Anique Brass.
5. If you are looking for a more traditional polished brass look, theset options (and the finishes) are pretty consistent in this version between vendors: Kohler Polished Brass, Rejuvenation Lacquered Brass, Kingston Brass Polished Brass, Delta Polished Brass
6. Some favorite stand alone brass finishes are Kohler Modern Polished Gold and Kohler French Gold.
