The kitchen is the hub of our homes. It’s the first stop in the morning when you want (need!) a cup of coffee to get going, it’s where the kids drop their backpacks when they get home, it’s where you and your friends catch up over a glass (or so) of wine, it’s where you make all the meals that keep your family feeling full…and loved.

The heart of your home gets a lot of traffic and, as a result, a lot of wear and tear. A new kitchen is a costly, labor intensive project, but there are a lot of little ways we can help you spruce it up for a lot less.

Cabinetry is the centerpiece of your kitchen (check out our thoughts on COLORFUL cabinets here) so one of our favorite easy fixes is new hardware.

We touched on our affection for the depth of matte black and the warmth of copper in our 2018 trend report, so let’s dive deep into that concept and check out our top picks!

BLACK AND COPPER KITCHEN HARDWARE

Black hardware we are loving:

Metro Modern by Top Knobs is sleek and simple.

Round and uncomplicated: Nouveau II Mushroom Knob at Wayfair

Chip and Joanna do it again with this 3” Loop Pull Hearth and Hand by Magnolia at Target:

Rustic meets geometric with this Square Aerin Knob from Anthropologie:

Structural and simple, we love this unique find on Etsy:

We love Novelty Knob by Southern Hills Hardware at Wayfair for the smooth, rectangular look as an alternative to more traditional circular knobs.

Copper we can’t stop looking at:

Classic copper with a contemporary feel, we’re crushing on the Center Bar Pull from Hickory Hardware at Wayfair:

An eye-catching ode to the Arts + Crafts style, the Copper Mission Bin Pull from Rejuvenation is one of our favorites.

Choose the Penny Saver Round Knob by Siro Designs from Wayfair for a traditional round knob with a bronze update.

The Smooth Copper Mushroom Knob by Shabby Restore at Wayfair adds texture and warmth to your drawers and cabinets.

These large scale, polished Avenue 12” Center Bar Pull by Belwith Keeler at Wayfair make a bold statement.

Show off your love of vintage style with these 3-inch Liberty Cup Pulls we discovered on Amazon.

Can’t choose a favorite finish? Remember, matte black pairs well with copper and our simple rules for mixing and matching metal can be found here.

Happy Designing!

Sincerely,
Allison
